Machine pricing is the foundational requirement for all sales transactions and quotations and is a key driver for the profitability of Barloworld Equipment.

Role Overview

The role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of pricing mechanisms and ensuring they function in accordance with our business pricing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage agreed contractual vendor pricing, inventory cost build-up, and support project-specific and retail pricing.
2. Facilitate and execute all machine pricing strategies.
3. Develop and implement machine pricing processes.
4. Ensure high levels of sustainable transactional efficiencies.
5. Maintain up-to-date machine master data and supplier (Caterpillar) price files.
6. Report on machine pricing analysis and the impact of price changes.
7. Review cost pricing and support the group on machine pricing matters.
8. Assist Sales Admin and pricing teams with compliance to machine pricing processes.
9. Align with the global pricing structure and identify process improvements for efficiency and cost containment.
10. Support regional teams in customer-facing pricing activities.
11. Implement and review pricing structures to benefit customers and Barloworld Equipment.
12. Communicate machine price changes and assess cost build-up factors.
13. Review the reasonability of cost build-up and maintain accurate standard master price files.
14. Collaborate with Sales Support and Mining LOB teams to optimize configurations and pricing support.
15. Support the development of customer price lists and future live pricing systems.

Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies

• Relevant B Degree/Diploma in Financial, Commerce, or Supply Chain, or extensive experience.
• Five to ten years' experience in business processes related to Supply Chain, Sales Admin, or Pricing.
• Experience in a matrix organization and advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of Barloworld Equipment SAP systems, Caterpillar machines, and product structures.
• Strong financial understanding and knowledge of import/export requirements.
