Job Description

We seek a seasoned Senior Pricing Analyst to join our reinsurance team, reporting to the Head of Pricing. Applicants must be based in Cape Town or willing to relocate, with limited travel required.

The ideal candidate will possess deep analytical expertise, a strong understanding of reinsurance treaty pricing, and a background in insurance pricing methodologies. This dynamic role involves handling reinsurance pricing activities, managing tools, and overseeing exposure, profitability, and growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Pricing reinsurance treaties across multiple classes and geographies.
• Developing and refining pricing models considering risk variables and market conditions.
• Evaluating historical loss data, exposure profiles, and emerging trends to set pricing guidelines.
• Collaborating with underwriting and actuarial teams to align pricing strategies with risk management objectives.

What will make you successful in this role?

Skills Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Business Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in pricing, risk analysis, or actuarial roles within reinsurance or insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in statistical techniques and software.
• Experience in P&C actuarial work.
• Excellent communication skills.
