Job Description: Senior Pre-Sales Manager

The Senior Pre-Sales Manager will be responsible for researching, prospecting, and unlocking new business opportunities across various channels and market segments within the business-to-business market. The objective is to contribute significantly to new business sales and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Building and maintaining a comprehensive database of corporate customers to facilitate targeting and promote business growth.
  2. Securing appointments and presenting OKgo's offerings to key stakeholders aligned with target sectors and industries.
  3. Analyzing business needs and formulating sales strategies, including identifying challenges and conducting needs assessments.
  4. Managing the end-to-end pre-sales process, including discovery, technical assessments, demonstrations, and proof of concept development.
  5. Preparing and securing pricing approvals, formal quotations, and final offers based on client requirements.
  6. Project managing deals through the implementation phase and supporting future product development and monetization opportunities.
  7. Collaborating with account managers to identify opportunities within existing relationships and conducting needs analysis.
  8. Networking by attending industry events, associations, and conferences to gather market insights.
  9. Engaging with new and existing partners to maximize sales and revenue growth.
  10. Proposing professional solutions tailored to partner needs, including standard and complex solutions.
  11. Assisting leadership in identifying new verticals and securing stakeholder buy-in for strategic expansion.
  12. Developing commercial models and maintaining relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  13. Providing strategic insights to senior leadership and ensuring effective cross-functional relationships.
  14. Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams for seamless transition from pre-sales to post-sales.
  15. Leading and mentoring the sales team, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  16. Creating a positive work environment, identifying training needs, and developing high-potential team members.
  17. Supporting revenue growth strategies, securing deals at competitive prices, and overseeing project implementation.
  18. Evaluating financial impacts, analyzing ROI, and developing mitigation strategies for financial risks.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification (Bachelor's Degree) in Engineering, Business Management, or a relevant field (NQF 7 or higher).
  • At least 7 years' experience in implementing or selling supply chain technology solutions.
  • Minimum of 3 years in enterprise-level business development or sales management, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Experience in SaaS technology sales or data environments is advantageous.
  • Experience with CRM software is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel locally.
  • Driver's license and own vehicle.
