The role requires 8+ years in PR and corporate communications with leadership experience, strong writing, and SA media market knowledge.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a related field.
8+ years in PR and corporate communications with management experience.
Proven ability to develop strategic plans including crisis management.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Deep knowledge of the South African media landscape and relationships.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement integrated PR and communications strategies to enhance corporate reputation and brand value.
Oversee all media relations activities, including press releases, media briefings, and spokesperson management.
Manage internal communications to ensure employee engagement and alignment with company goals.
Lead crisis communication planning and execution, safeguarding the company's image.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media personnel, industry analysts, and influencers.
Develop compelling content for various platforms, including speeches, presentations, website copy, and social media.
Monitor media coverage and analyze communication campaign performance, reporting on key metrics.
Collaborate with marketing and other departments to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated campaigns.
Manage the communications budget and oversee external agencies or vendors as needed.
Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on communication matters.
