Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical) or related field; MBA advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years of power plant operations experience with at least 5 in a leadership role.
• Experience in managing thermal power plants or renewable energy facilities.
• Strong leadership, financial management, and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations of the power plant, including generation and maintenance.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation meeting targets and regulations.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to optimize performance and reduce costs.
• Oversee maintenance programs, outages, asset integrity and availability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop operations and maintenance teams.
• Manage budgets for operations and maintenance; identify cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and HSE policies.
• Liaise with regulators, grid operators, and external stakeholders.
• Oversee emergency response planning and execution.
• Prepare performance reports for senior management.
