Senior Power BI Developer

Our Client, a Global Tech firm, is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to join their team in Rosebank (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite) on a contract basis.

The primary responsibility of the Senior Power BI Developer is to manage, coordinate, design, develop, direct, and oversee the validation of actionable and measurable reports, analysis, and presentation on data sources to ensure that the necessary information is available for making informed business decisions and measuring established goals and objectives.

This position will manage the processes and people responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modeling, and analysis.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data analysis needs and deliver comprehensive BI solutions.
3. Lead the integration of PowerBI with other business systems for seamless data flow and analysis.
4. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data presented in BI reports.
5. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior BI developers.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in BI development, with a focus on PowerBI.
2. Strong understanding of data modeling, SQL, and data warehousing principles.
3. Proficiency in DAX, M Query, and other PowerBI related technologies.
4. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
5. Experience with cloud services like Azure or AWS.
6. Certification in PowerBI or related BI tools.
7. Cross-functional skills (Microsoft Fabric).
