Key Performance Objectives
Operations and Service Management
- Support in the strategic direction and operational oversight for the design, development, operation, and hybrid cloud systems that fulfil the needs of the business, including the full life cycle of technical architecture, infrastructure engineering, infrastructure operations and platform security
- Manage hybrid cloud infrastructure operations to ensure that critical business systems meet or exceed business expectations
- Establish and nurture relationships with business and other stakeholders for effective communication and expansion of existing operational capabilities
- Ensure management of incidents, problems, service requests and change requests in line with business priorities
- Operationally manage critical situations and solve escalations to provide seamless operations
- Drive quality into metrics and build reports focusing on improvement, including measurement of plans, deployment schedules, KPIs and reviews of SLAs for support tickets and accuracy
- Implement best practices and commonly used concepts and procedures within the cloud infrastructure environment
- Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery, backup procedures, information security, and control structures
- Establish standards for applicable capabilities, ensuring standards and best practices are published, maintained, and followed
- Serve as a catalyst for continuous service improvement and optimize resources to deliver the best possible value
- Lead through change and adversity with courage and compassion
- Direct research in emerging technology by studying organization goals, strategies, practices and user projects
- Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented
- Create and document processes, procedures and standards, and ensure documentation is followed and kept up to date
Reporting and performance
- Improve operational performance management using appropriate tools and reporting techniques
- Develop reports to meet SLAs and communicate performance to stakeholders
- Continuously improve processes and products / services in assigned area, plan improvements and implement improvements programs
- Coordinate and control activities within assigned unit to deliver Quality KPIs and relevant customer satisfaction expectations
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain a strong understanding of clients' industry and business
- Assist clients in the formation of IT strategies and ensure that they are offered products and services aligned to these strategies
IT Strategy and Planning
- Contribute to Media Engineering and cloud IT infrastructure strategy
- Influence the development and enhancement of services, products and systems, and oversees the management and planning of business opportunities
- Oversee monitoring of relationships and acts on relevant feedback
- Execute short-term and long-term strategies for Media Engineering infrastructure management that aligns with industry standards and best practices
- Implement defined management practices and procedures that support and measure the capabilities, effectiveness, and efficiency of hybrid cloud infrastructure activities
Qualifications
- A post graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a technology related field
- Enterprise class hardware certifications / courses
Experience
- A minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in a senior infrastructure and DevOps role
- Senior level knowledge of virtualization technologies, VMWare
- Good understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS / Azure)
- Good understanding of DevOps best-practices, containers, CI / CD and other configuration management systems like Chef, Gitlab, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
- 5+ years’ experience on compute infrastructure including Cisco UCS, HP, Dell
- Proven experience in storage infrastructure design, implementation, operations, and maintenance
- Excellent understanding of scripting
- Experience in driving innovation
- Strong leadership capabilities across all areas of the IT environment or within a matrix management structure
- Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to develop, document, execute, and improve processes
- Adept at resolving conflict and delivering expected outcomes
