Job summary

Wood South Africa is seeking an experienced Senior Piping Engineer to lead piping activities across projects and provide technical leadership. You will mentor junior engineers and support multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with project standards and safety regulations.

The role involves delivering piping design solutions, coordinating with procurement, and maintaining quality of drawings and isometrics for enquiry and fabrication.

Qualifications

• BSc, BEng, BTech
• Professional Registered Engineer or equivalent registration
• 8 Years minimum experience

Responsibilities

• Lead piping engineering activities across projects
• Mentor junior piping engineers
• Design and approve piping work on projects
• Prepare pipe material specifications and supports
• Ensure compliance with OHSA and project standards
• Review schedules and ensure realistic timelines
• Prepare piping stress analysis input and reports
• Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers for document control
• Provide progress reports to Project Engineer
• Assist in bid analyses for piping items
