Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher for a respected high school in Kimberley to ignite curiosity and build a deep understanding of physical principles through engaging lessons and rigorous assessments.

You will design practical experiments, deliver CAPS-aligned instruction, foster a safe, collaborative lab environment, and mentor students toward success in examinations while contributing to curriculum development.

Qualifications

• A degree in Physics or a related science field, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE).
• Proven experience teaching physics at the high school level.
• Strong knowledge of CAPS and its physics requirements.
• Excellent ability to conduct safe and effective laboratory experiments.
• Effective classroom management and student engagement strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach physics to high school students, covering topics such as mechanics, electricity, waves, and modern physics.
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans, including practical laboratory work and demonstrations.
