Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Pharmacovigilance Scientist to join the safety surveillance team on a fully remote basis, primarily supporting operations related to Sandton. The role focuses on monitoring, evaluating, and reporting adverse events for pharmaceutical products, with collaboration across regulatory, clinical, and medical affairs teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in pharmacovigilance or related healthcare discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of pharmacovigilance or drug safety experience.
• Knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations (FDA, EMA, SAHPRA).
• Experience with PSURs/PBRERs and risk management plans.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate adverse event data from trials, post-marketing, and literature.
• Ensure timely safety reporting to regulators and stakeholders.
• Contribute to PSURs, PBRERs, and risk management plans.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure robust safety data collection.
• Stay current with global pharmacovigilance regulations.
