Placements24 is seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Process Engineer in Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, scaling up operations, validating processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a cutting-edge facility.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, collaboration with R&D, QA, and operations, and driving process improvements to enhance yield and efficiency in a sterile/pharma environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or closely related field.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on process engineering experience in pharma/biotech.
• Proven experience in scale-up, validation, and technology transfer of pharmaceutical products.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements in pharma manufacturing.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and CAD tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management and multi-priority handling skills.
• Effective cross-team communication and collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and optimize pharma manufacturing processes, incl. scale-up.
• Troubleshoot process issues to ensure product quality and yield.
• Develop and execute IQ, OQ, PQ protocols for equipment and processes.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, QA for tech transfer.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and environmental regs.
• Prepare process docs: P&IDs, SOPs, technical reports.
• Provide training to manufacturing staff.
• Stay updated on pharma process engineering advances.
