Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Manager to manage payroll operations across multiple countries. The Senior Payroll Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll, compliance with local regulations, and the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

  • You are a self-starter who is passionate about creating lasting change within the energy sector in emerging markets
  • You are working proficient in French
  • You have a background in accounting for businesses who operate in Africa

  • You are comfortable managing multiple work streams simultaneously, and can prioritise and effectively deliver on tasks within the deadline

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll operations for multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local regulations
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of payroll data, including taxes, benefits, and employee information
  • Provide support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries
  • Work closely with HR to ensure accurate and timely updates of employee information in payroll systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax and labor laws in each country
  • Monitor changes to payroll regulations and make recommendations for policy changes as necessary
  • Work with external vendors to manage payroll-related services, such as benefits and taxes
  • Provide support during internal and external audits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in an international setting
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations in multiple countries
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Fluency in English required, proficiency in other languages preferred
