Job summary

WSP Africa in Cape Town seeks a Civil Engineer with pavement engineering expertise to deliver roads, highways, and pavements projects from investigations through construction support. You will work alongside a team of professionals to ensure high-quality design, documentation, and client delivery.

The role requires 5+ years of civil experience in pavements and materials, familiarity with SA standards (COLTO/SANRAL), and proficiency in Civil 3D/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with ECSA Pr Eng registration.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience in pavements, roads, or highways.
• Experience on large roads infrastructure projects, SANRAL/municipal exposure.
• Knowledge of SA specs (COLTO/SANRAL) and design practices.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pavement investigations, design, and cost estimates.
• Support projects for roads, highways, and municipal works.
• Apply pavement and materials engineering knowledge to rehabilitation and design reviews.
• Review technical submissions, drawings, and contractor documentation for compliance.
• Provide input on client projects and assist with proposals and budgets.
• Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge.
