Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are now looking for a Patient Service Officer to be part of the team.

The successful candidates will be deployed to one of the clinics within the medical centre. The successful candidate will be performing the following duties, but not limited to:

  1. Perform registration: key in patients data and register in the system.
  2. Generate bill estimation form.
  3. Advise patients on Medisave / Medishield / private shield / corporate guarantees and to obtain signatures on the relevant forms.
  4. Follow up with doctors or clinic staff on completing the information required.
  5. Assist doctor during the consultation.
  6. Booking of appointments in the system.
  7. Alert and rectify duplicate patient records in the system.
  8. Assist in training and guiding new and junior staff.
  9. Collect deposit if required.
  10. Handle billing, collection of payment (cash, NETS, credit cards, cheques) with integrity and accuracy.
  11. Perform daily closing of collections and alert superiors on discrepancies if any.

Requirements

  1. Has 1-2 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
  2. Experience in clinical duties such as taking of blood samples, recording vital signs reading, etc. will be advantageous.
  3. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Tech-savvy.
  5. Good interpersonal skills, a good team player, and has good time management skills.
  6. Willing to learn and ability to adapt are key attributes for this role.

5.5-day work week, office hours.
