Placements24 is seeking a creative and meticulous Pastry Chef to elevate corporate event catering in Centurion. You will own the pastry section from concept to execution, crafting exquisite desserts, pastries, and baked goods for high-profile client events.

Join our culinary team to develop seasonal menus, manage pastry inventory, ensure spotless hygiene, and mentor junior pastry assistants while collaborating with the Head Chef and event coordinators to align offerings with client themes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Assistant Pastry Chef in catering or fine dining.
• Strong classical pastry techniques and current dessert trends.
• Excellent eye for detail and artistic presentation.
• Proficiency in baking, sugar work, chocolate tempering, and cake decorating.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet event deadlines.
• Culinary degree or pastry certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and present pastries, cakes, desserts for corporate events.
• Develop new and seasonal dessert menus with varied flavors and presentation.
• Manage pastry inventory and control waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the pastry kitchen.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and event coordinators on client-focused themes.
• Train and guide junior pastry assistants to ensure quality.
