Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and approve packaging design concepts and solutions aligned with the TFG Beauty Private Label Product Development strategy.
- Create and design product CADs considering supplier capabilities and commercial requirements.
- Compile correct packaging die lines (primary and secondary packaging).
- Define and approve print and substrate technical specifications based on designs.
- Review and approve packaging concepts, providing feasible solutions.
- Develop and source cost-effective packaging that aligns with brand standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure packaging approval.
- Submit initial samples, concepts, product specifications, and packaging formats to suppliers.
- Request and review samples during development to ensure they meet design requirements.
- Review and approve packaging die lines and work maps.
- Approve DTP artworks aligned with conceptual designs.
- Ensure accurate packaging artwork briefs and correctness of artwork and specifications prior to supplier submission.
- Review packaging formats for suitability and functionality.
- Approve samples and packaging standards, ensuring conformance to specifications and TFG Beauty standards.
- Manage artwork amendments post-submission as needed.
- Ensure packaging development adheres to critical timelines.
Packaging Sourcing Alignment:
- Recommend effective packaging sources to buying teams.
- Support research into new packaging innovations and constructs.
Supplier Management:
- Conduct supplier packaging audits as per TFG Beauty requirements.
- Address issues with suppliers and review action plans, including potential return audits.
- Advise buying groups and contract manufacturers on new packaging suppliers.
- Monitor initial orders with new suppliers and provide ongoing support.
- Distribute packaging technical manuals and guidelines to new suppliers.
Packaging Innovation and Sustainability:
- Provide updates on packaging innovations and technology trends to Buying Groups.
In-Season Trading – Packaging:
- Review product packaging in comparison with competitors and market analysis.
Post-Season Analysis:
- Conduct packaging project reviews to assess launch accuracy and identify delivery bottlenecks or challenges.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Design qualification.
- Understanding of print and packaging processes.
- Proficiency with design tools, including Adobe Suite.
