Job description

The Senior Manager Operations will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Project Execution Department in South Africa. In addition, the Senior Manager will be responsible for building strong commercial and technical relationships.

Qualifications

• N.Dip/B.Tech/B.Sc degree, preferably in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, with postgraduate qualification.
• Project Management qualification will be advantageous.

Minimum Experience

• 10+ years of related experience in project execution within the energy sector (Sub-Saharan Africa).

Competencies

• Basic understanding of power equipment, renewable energy, and turnkey projects.
• Experience in energy projects within utilities or the private energy sector is an advantage.
• Good understanding of contract conditions and their interpretation and implementation.
• Ability to coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders for successful project delivery.
• Strong understanding of project finance and commercial conditions related to project implementation and execution.
• Candidates with existing relationships with utilities and EPC & IPP companies in South Africa are preferred.
• Proficient in document reporting and experienced in MS Office tools.
