Senior Officer : Security Operations

Purpose of the Job : Reporting to the Manager: Security Operations, the successful incumbent is accountable for providing physical security services to ensure the safety of employees, property, information, stakeholders, relevant RAF offices, and hospitals within the geographic footprint.

Key Performance Areas

1. Crime and Loss Prevention
2. Supervise control room operations.
3. Monitor CCTV, fire detection, panic alarms, radio and telecommunication equipment, PA system, UPS generator, and access control systems.
4. Activate emergency procedures in case of emergency.
5. Monitor access control (programming, issuing, enabling, disabling of access disks).
6. Control all security registers.
7. Investigate security breaches and compile reports.
8. Undertake security threat and risk assessments (TRA) and implement effective access control measures.
9. Develop post orders for security personnel.
10. Monitor security-guarding contracts.

Reporting

• Contribute to the preparation and submission of regulation reports.
• Assist in developing functional reporting systems for management, projects, or performance evaluation.
• Report regularly and provide updates to inform management decisions.

Event Security

• Coordinate security during Board and ministerial meetings.
• Conduct close protection when necessary.
• Coordinate security during RAF approved offsite events.
• Supervise contract security during RAF events.
• Examine and process claims documents.

Stakeholder and Asset Management

• Maintain proactive relationships with key stakeholders.
• Handle inquiries and information requests from internal and external stakeholders.
• Escort and guard RAF assets during on-road projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• National Diploma in Security Management or related qualification.
• PSIRA Grading.
• Security Management Certificate (SSA) is an added advantage.
• Relevant 4 years' experience in a security environment.
