EdUpStairs seeks a registered Occupational Therapist to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services in areas including amputations, orthopedics, trauma and internal medicine. The role requires HPCSA registration, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work in a high-pressure team environment.

Responsibilities include wheelchair assessments, splint fabrication, assistive technology prescriptions, discharge planning, and participation in ward rounds with multidisciplinary teams.

Competenze

• Registration with HPCSA as Occupational Therapist is required.

Mansioni

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and occupation-based treatment in Amputations, Orthopedics, Trauma and Internal Medicine as needed.
• Perform wheelchair assessments and seating for wheelchair users.
• Fabricate and prescribe upper and lower limb splints.
• Prescribe assistive technology for relevant conditions.
• Execute discharge plans and participate in ward rounds and multi-disciplinary meetings.
• Contribute to development of the OT department and supervise OT students.
