Reworks Solutions in Midrand is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with NLP expertise to design, develop and deploy advanced AI models. You will contribute to sentiment analysis, text summarization, and conversational AI, collaborating with researchers and engineers across production systems.

The role emphasizes staying current with NLP/ML research, implementing robust experiments, and delivering scalable solutions in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, with a strong focus on NLP.
• Proficiency in Python and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for model training and deployment.
• Strong understanding of natural language understanding (NLU) and natural language generation (NLG) techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement state-of-the-art NLP models and algorithms using deep learning frameworks.
• Conduct thorough data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation for various text-based AI tasks.
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate ML models into production systems and applications.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in NLP and machine learning, applying them to improve existing solutions.
• Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and optimize model performance, ensuring robustness and scalability.
