Job summary

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology invites applications for a Senior Network Security Engineer. The role requires planning, deployment, monitoring and maintenance of robust security measures to protect institutional information systems and infrastructure in line with policies and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in network security, CCNA/HCIA certification, and hands-on experience with firewalls, DNS security and MFA deployment.

Qualifications

• BTech/ Advanced Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years' experience in network security (firewalls, DNS layer security, MFA) Deployment, Configuration and Support.
• At least CCNA or HCIA (International certified)

Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to plan, implement, monitor, and maintain robust network security measures that protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of CPUT's information systems and infrastructure, while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards.
