Placements24 is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join a remote-first telecommunications team. You will design, implement, and manage security for extensive network infrastructure, drive security strategies, and respond to threats to protect data integrity.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in network security, hands-on firewall expertise (Palo Alto / Fortinet / Cisco), IDS/IPS, SIEM, and cloud security across AWS/Azure/GCP.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in network security engineering.
• Proven expertise in configuring and managing enterprise-grade firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco).
• Strong knowledge of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM solutions, and endpoint security.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001.
• Excellent understanding of network protocols and architecture.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or GIAC are highly desirable.
