Job summary

E-Merge is seeking a high-calibre Network Engineer to join a leading producer of platinum group metals in South Africa's Rosebank area. This role focuses on designing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring and optimising LAN infrastructure, working with experienced professionals in a technology-driven environment.

With 7+ years in enterprise networks, expertise in Cisco Catalyst/Nexus and DNA Center is essential. CCNP Enterprise is required; CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networks.
• Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switching and DNA Center expertise.
• Knowledge of OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, VXLAN, multicast, QoS, and SD-Access.
• Experience with network automation using Python/Ansible/Git.
• NAC (Cisco ISE), firewall policies, and segmentation knowledge.
• Ability to present technical strategies to leadership; strong documentation and ITIL adherence.
• Analytical thinking and proactive problem-solving with operational discipline.
