Senior Network Engineer at Sabenza IT & Recruitment

This is a remote position.

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team on-site (Monday to Friday, office hours). You’ll be instrumental in delivering Tier 2/3 support, supplementing our internal support team, and leading efforts across design, implementation, and troubleshooting of complex Cisco ACI-based networks. This is a hands-on role where deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver expert-level Tier 2/3 network support for local and wide-area networks.
2. Supplement the internal support team by also handling Tier 1 calls when required.
3. Participate in and contribute to major projects—network design, implementation, configuration, and security.
4. Troubleshoot and optimize performance in complex Cisco ACI environments.
5. Maintain, monitor, and manage network infrastructure via Cisco Prime and Cisco DNAC.
6. Support and implement security technologies including CheckPoint, ASA, Firepower, ISE, and F5.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure network stability and scalability.

1. CCNP Certified – preferably Data Centre with ACI or Routing & Switching.
2. Minimum 5 years' experience in enterprise networking roles.
3. At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Cisco ACI.
4. Proven experience with Cisco Prime and Cisco DNAC for network management.
5. Solid knowledge in routing, switching, and network security (including Firewalls and VPNs).
6. Experience with wireless network infrastructure (certification a bonus).
7. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

1. Security certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, CCSA, etc.).
2. Wireless certifications (Cisco or equivalent).
3. Exposure to cloud network integration (AWS/Azure networking models).
4. Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.
