Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a Senior Application Developer to translate business requirements into scalable software solutions within a South African financial services context. You will design, build, test, and support full-stack web applications and REST APIs in an Agile environment.

You will mentor junior developers, participate in code reviews, and help estimate work with Business Analysts, ensuring delivery against enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 8+ years of full-lifecycle software development experience.
• Strong experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Insurance industry experience is beneficial.
• Core stack includes C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, SQL Server, Blazor, HTML5, CSS.
• Web solution architecture, RESTful API design and integration.
• Knowledge of unit testing and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and support full-stack web solutions and RESTful APIs.
• Partner with Business Analysts to define requirements and estimate tasks.
• Identify, own, and mitigate technical risks and issues.
• Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews.
• Collaborate with IT managers and stakeholders in an Agile framework.
