Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in narrative design or game writing.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with engaging dialogue.
• Solid understanding of narrative structure, character development and world-building in interactive media.
• Experience with game development tools (Unity/Unreal) is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write compelling narratives, storylines, backstories, and dialogue for video games.
• Collaborate with game designers to integrate narrative elements into gameplay mechanics and systems.
• Create lore bibles, world-building documents, and narrative design specifications.
• Work with level designers and artists to ensure visuals support the narrative.
• Develop branching narratives and ensure meaningful player choices.
• Edit and refine content based on feedback and playtesting.
• Maintain consistency in tone and voice across the game.
• Stay updated on trends in game narrative design.
• Mentor junior writers and narrative designers.
