Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and nurturing Senior Nanny & Early Years Development Coach to provide remote support and guidance to families. This role combines the practical experience of a seasoned nanny with the developmental expertise of an early years coach. While some on-site visits may be required in the Rustenburg, North West, ZA area, a significant portion of the role will involve remote consultations, activity planning, and virtual support for parents and caregivers. You will be instrumental in helping families establish effective routines, implement developmentally appropriate practices, and create stimulating environments for their children. We are looking for someone passionate about early childhood development, with a strong understanding of various age groups and developmental stages. This hybrid role offers a unique blend of in-person interaction and remote flexibility, catering to modern family needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual consultations with parents and caregivers to assess family needs and provide tailored advice.
• Develop and share age-appropriate activity plans, learning resources, and developmental strategies via email and video calls.
• Provide remote guidance on establishing healthy routines, sleep schedules, and positive discipline techniques.
• Offer virtual support and troubleshooting for common childcare challenges.
• When necessary, conduct in-home visits to provide hands-on demonstrations and assessments within the Rustenburg vicinity.
• Educate families on child safety, nutrition, and overall well-being.
• Maintain open and professional communication with families, building trust and rapport.
• Collaborate with the client's support team to ensure cohesive service delivery.
• Research and recommend child-friendly resources and educational materials.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a nanny, caregiver, or early childhood educator, with at least 5 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• Certification or formal training in Early Childhood Development, Childcare, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective remote guidance and support to families.
• Excellent understanding of child development from infancy through early childhood.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Skype), email, and other digital communication platforms.
• Ability to travel locally for in-home visits within the specified region.
• A patient, empathetic, and reliable nature.
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation.
• A passion for supporting families and fostering positive childhood experiences.
