Senior Nail Technician - JHB

A well-known cosmetic company is currently seeking an experienced nail technician to join their team. Please note, must have own car.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

1. Must have the stamina to successfully and timeously complete back-to-back nail appointments. 2 out of the 5 working days per week will involve in-office back-to-back appointments.
2. Qualified in Complete Nail Technology including:
   • Basic manicure and pedicure
   • Gel overlays, tips & sculpting
   • Liquid & powder acrylic overlays, tips & sculpting
3. At least 5 years’ experience working in the industry.
4. Follow strict SOPs; training will be provided prior to start date and ongoing, potentially before or after working hours.
5. Must have computer experience with software such as Virtual Academic Centre & Dashboard, One Drive, Outlook, Excel & Word.
6. Strong nail art experience and capability, including a POE to show work completed.
7. Capable of managing their online diary with support from the admin team.

Hard Skills:

• Qualified in complete Nail Technology including:
  • Basic manicure and pedicure
  • Gel overlays, tips & sculpting
  • Liquid & powder acrylic overlays, tips & sculpting
  • Nail art skills (strong and advanced)
• At least 3 years’ experience in the industry.
• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel & Word.

Soft Skills:

• Passionate about the beauty industry & nails.
• Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge.
• Well-presented, punctual, and up-to-date with the latest nail trends.
• Fluent in English; clear communication is essential.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and multi-tasking skills.
• Effective time management and team player.
• Participation in bi-monthly in-store demo days and internal training sessions is required.
• Working hours: 8 am – 5 pm at Academy Hyde Park, with potential weekend or after-hours appointments booked in advance.
• No additional work in other salons during the week or weekends.

• Must have a car and valid driver’s license.
• Reside in or near areas such as Melv, Auc, CBD, Sel, Mayf, Jep, Bram.
