Job description

We are seeking the skills of a Senior MS Project Planner to join our team in Vanderbijlpark. Must be skilled in reading mechanical drawings.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Matric Grade 12, or N3
• Technical Qualification would be advantageous
• 10 years’ experience in Fabrication and Engineering

EXPERIENCE :

• Understand Manufacturing and Engineering processes.
• Work under pressure
• Have good problem-solving skills and can make quick, effective decisions
• Be numerate and have planning and analytical skills
• Have appropriate IT skills.
• Read and understand drawings
• Advanced MS Project Skills (Expert Level)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Schedule all projects in the works ensuring optimal use of resources.
• Daily updating of schedules based on progress.
• Provide Forward load projects based on scheduling.
• Provide Project Engineers with accurate schedules for reporting purposes.
• Provide Sales department with schedules for quotation purposes.
• Manage the following :
• Opening / Loading of projects ensuring relevant information is available andloaded in the projects folder.
• Planning of projects (BOM’s) in accordance to order scope, drawings, sketches & specifications as discussed in Handover / Engineering Meetings.
• Review Planning on Route sheets in accordance with relevant information
• Generates planning / scheduling on projects due to scope changes, NCR’s orCD’s and communicate with Superintendents and Foreman on various detailsduring manufacturing process.
• Release Works Orders
• Various adhoc duties will be expected to be performed outside the above mentioned scope to assist the team from time to time.
