Job summary
Boardroom Appointments is seeking a MongoDB Database Administrator to ensure performance, availability, and security of MongoDB instances hosted in AWS. You will manage installations, upgrades, backups, and provisioning while collaborating with development teams to maintain a stable environment.
The role requires 4 years of MongoDB experience, including MongoDB Enterprise Edition with OPSMANAGER, and strong Linux scripting skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 4 years of experience managing MongoDB environments.
- 4 years with MongoDB Enterprise Edition with OPSMANAGER.
- Experience on Linux servers (administrative work).
- Strong proficiency in performance tuning.
- Backup/restore proficiency.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure services (EC2, S3).
Responsibilities
- Ensure performance, availability, and security of MongoDB instances.
- Manage installations, upgrades, backups, and provisioning.
- Collaborate with application teams for stable environments.
- Work with security to manage access and compliance.
- Monitor logs and perform disaster recovery testing.
- Research and implement new MongoDB features.
- Assist auditors with outputs and compliance evidence.
- Optimize resource usage and cost opportunities.
