AES Global in Johannesburg seeks a Senior Mobile Software Engineer to lead the development of enterprise-grade mobile apps. You will mentor engineers, influence team practices, and set the standard for delivery while engaging with clients and stakeholders.

You will work across the lifecycle from design to release, researching new technologies and applying best practices. The role is hybrid in Johannesburg with opportunities for leadership and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering or a related science field.
• 6+ years as a software engineer in an enterprise environment.
• Experience in a delivery team shipping a product with other disciplines.
• Strong fundamentals, clean code and best practices.
• Proficiency across a range of technologies and ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to architect and structure end-to-end features.
• Experience interfacing with REST APIs.
• Experience deploying to app stores.

• Build high-quality mobile applications used at scale by large organisations.
• Improve release quality with containerisation and CI/CD.
• Own the lifecycle from system design to estimation and scoping.
• Research new technologies and apply them to projects.
• Mentor and grow engineers and influence team processes.
