Job summary

AES Global in Cape Town is seeking a Mobile App Developer to join its technical team on a major systems renewal project. The role focuses on cross‑platform web and mobile apps built with Angular, Capacitor, and Ionic to support clinical work.

You will design, develop, test and deploy enterprise and client-facing applications, collaborating with backend teams to integrate REST APIs, and managing builds for Android and iOS.

Permanent, in‑office in Cape Town.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of mobile development experience.
• Solid experience with Angular, Capacitor and Ionic.
• Experience deploying Android and iOS apps.
• Strong mobile UI/UX design sense.
• Familiarity with security best practices and Agile/Scrum.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cross-platform web and mobile apps for Android and iOS.
• Build responsive UI components using Angular and best practices.
• Write clean, documented code and test scripts.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate REST APIs.
• Generate builds in Android Studio and Xcode; publish to stores.
• Provide estimates and deliver on schedule; code reviews.
