Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with MLOps expertise to join a Richards Bay-based role. You will bridge model development and production, building scalable pipelines and robust infrastructure for automated training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering with a focus on MLOps.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Hands-on experience with MLOps tools and platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD for ML and data pipelines/ETL.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable MLOps pipelines for training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop infrastructure for ML workloads using cloud platforms and containers.
• Implement CI/CD practices tailored for ML models.
• Collaborate with data scientists to streamline model development lifecycle.
• Develop tools to improve ML deployments' reliability.
• Monitor models for drift and performance degradation; implement fixes.
• Ensure security, governance, and compliance of ML systems.
