Job summary

iOCO is seeking a highly skilled ML & AI Developer to join the Data & AI team in Johannesburg. You will design, deploy, and maintain production-grade ML/AI solutions delivering measurable business value.

You will build scalable pipelines, implement MLOps, and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders across the organization. The role emphasizes Azure AI, CI/CD for ML, and governance to ensure reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in ML/AI engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering end-to-end ML solutions in production.
• Experience designing and supporting scalable AI/ML apps.
• Experience with large datasets and distributed processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end ML solutions into production environments.
• Build and maintain scalable batch and real-time AI/ML pipelines.
• Develop, train, evaluate, and optimize ML models for business challenges.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into production-ready AI.
• Implement and manage MLOps including deployment, monitoring, testing, and retraining.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows.
• Develop data processing pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark.
• Deploy and manage ML solutions on Azure AI and data platforms.
• Monitor model performance, drift, and reliability for business value.
• Contribute to AI governance, security, and best practices.
• Research emerging AI tech and recommend innovations.
