Job summary

Stellenbosch University invites an experienced Senior Project Manager in Minor Works to lead refurbishment and upgrade projects on the Stellenbosch Campus. You will coordinate a portfolio of concurrent initiatives, manage budgets and risks, and ensure governance compliance while engaging stakeholders across Infrastructure Programme Management and Facilities Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the built environment is required.
• Registration as Pr CPM or SACPCMP candidate required.
• Seven years' experience in project management in built environment or engineering.
• Knowledge of PM Methodology and governance.
• Experience with tender procedures and procurement policies.
• Strong planning, negotiation and time management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools including MS Projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Minor Works Programme and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Coordinate delivery of the annual Minor Works Programme.
• Manage project scope, budget, quality and risk.
• Ensure compliance with governance and procurement policies.
• Coordinate consultant and contractor activities and conduct meetings.
• Prepare procurement documentation and support tender evaluations.
• Monitor progress, KPIs and dashboards, and report to stakeholders.
• Oversee commissioning and handover to Facilities Operations.
