Job summary

NDC Personnel & Contractors in Western Cape is seeking a skilled Millwright to maintain, repair and service machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will perform preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical repairs, and updates to maintenance records, while performing root cause analysis on breakdowns.

Ideal candidates hold an N4 qualification with at least 5 years in manufacturing, plus familiarity with VSDs, motor control, pneumatics and PLCs.

Qualifications

Must be a qualified Millwright with N4 and at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with VSDs, electric motor control, pneumatic systems, and PLCs will be advantageous.
Strong troubleshooting, teamwork and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and servicing of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain and update maintenance registers and records.
Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs and upgrades as required.
Perform root cause analysis on breakdowns to identify corrective actions.
Identify critical spares and ensure availability for maintenance activities.
Support workshop maintenance standards and standby/overtime/weekend work when required.
