Job summary

Humankind Group in South Africa is seeking a Senior (L3) Microsoft Enterprise Engineer to own complex escalations, design and lead client projects, and mentor the next generation of engineers. Location: Cape Town or Gqeberha (PE), in office.

Permanent role. You will lead troubleshooting across on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments, design solution architectures, take ownership of escalations through to resolution, and contribute to documentation and best practices.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years’ experience in IT infrastructure support and leading project deployments.
• 5+ years’ hands-on experience in Microsoft 365, on-premise and cloud environments.
• Strong Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM and PKI experience.
• Modern Workplace expertise: Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender and Purview.
• Advanced PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation.
• Good understanding of backup and recovery, networking and network security.
• Working knowledge of ITSM/ITIL.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication.

A Microsoft-led managed IT services provider operating across South Africa is looking for a Senior (L3) Microsoft Enterprise Engineer. This is a technical leadership role in its Modern Work Practice. You’ll own complex escalations, design and lead client projects, and mentor the next generation of engineers.

What You’ll Do

• Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments
• Design solution architecture and lead implementations and migrations

What You Bring

• 8–10 years’ experience in IT infrastructure support and leading project deployments

• Microsoft 365
• Proven experience mentoring or leading L1/L2 engineers
• Expert capability in both on-premise and cloud. Cloud-only experience won’t be enough.
• Strong Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM and Certificate Services (PKI) experience
• Modern Workplace expertise: Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender and Purview
• Advanced PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation
• Good understanding of backup and recovery, networking and network security
• Working knowledge of ITSM/ITIL
• Matric (Grade 12) and ITIL Foundation certification
• Fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication

Certifications

• Required: AZ-104, MS-102, MD-102, SC-300
• Highly desirable: AZ-305, SC-100, AZ-700, MS-700, AZ-800/801
• Advantageous: MCSE, MCSA, MCITP or other legacy Microsoft certifications

Beneficial
