Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert metallurgical advice and technical support to processing plants globally via remote channels.
• Analyze metallurgical test data and plant performance to identify areas for improvement in recovery and efficiency.
• Develop and optimize metallurgical processes for various commodities, focusing on crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching, and refining.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with site-based metallurgists and engineers through virtual meetings and digital platforms.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, metallurgical evaluations, and process improvement recommendations.
• Stay current with advancements in metallurgical science and technology and assess their applicability to our operations.
• Mentor and guide junior metallurgists and technicians in a remote capacity.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in metallurgy within the mining and mineral processing industry.
• Proven expertise in various mineral processing techniques (e.g., flotation, leaching, smelting, refining).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex metallurgical data.
• Proficiency in metallurgical simulation software is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at virtual collaboration and technical reporting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a fully remote setting.
