1. Identify potential areas of improvement in current manufacturing and/or testing equipment and processes and manage the implementation of replacement equipment/processes.
2. Plan, lead, organize, and control engineering initiatives/actions to ensure future capacity requirements are met through sustenance of existing systems and execution of new projects.
3. Identify new technologies, processes, or standards to improve and optimize quality while reducing costs in manufacturing and assembly processes.
4. Play a lead role (of a technical nature) in developing automation processes across the entire supply chain.

You Bring:

• BEng in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in automation engineering and developing new systems in a highly technological environment.
• Understanding of electronic, mechanical, and mechatronic system design.
• Experience in electronic initiation and the mining industry is advantageous.

Reference Number for this position is GZ. This is a contract position based in Modderfontein, offering a cost-to-company salary of R1.3m per annum.
