Job summary

Minopex seeks an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor at the Phola Plant near Ogies, Mpumalanga. You will ensure reliable maintenance services, optimise equipment performance, and minimise downtime in a demanding production setting.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in mechanical maintenance, 3–4 years in supervision, and holds a Section 13 Trade Test/26(D) instrumentation cert, plus a valid driver’s licence and own transport.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent with N3/NATED courses and related technical trade tests.
• Trade-test certification in instrumentation is required.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport are essential.

Responsibilities

• Investigate breakdowns and order spares per procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Supervise subordinates to meet organisational standards.
• Monitor equipment availability to meet production targets.
• Coordinate work with engineering and production teams.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure spare parts availability.
• Assist in resolving invoice mismatches related to orders.
• Ensure installations and repairs are completed safely and effectively.
