Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a Mechanical Fire Engineer to join our Midrand office. The role focuses on the design and installation of fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with codes, and collaborating with architects and engineers.

You'll lead site surveys, prepare drawings, and guide project teams through construction, while staying updated on evolving fire protection technologies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Pr. Eng registration preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on fire protection systems.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations related to fire protection systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the installation of fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and smoke detectors.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify potential fire hazards and recommend solutions.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for fire protection systems.
• Collaborate with architects, builders, and other engineers to ensure fire protection systems meet building codes and regulations.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on fire protection equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the construction phase.
• Stay current with new developments in fire protection technology and regulations.
