Network Recruitment seeks a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of bulk materials handling systems for mining and industrial projects in South Africa. You will specify conveyors (overland, underground, plant), transfer stations, chutes, bins, silos, hoppers, stackers, reclaimers, feeders, crushers, and related equipment.

You will perform sizing, calculations, datasheets, and design reports. The role requires collaboration across disciplines, participation in HAZOPs and design reviews,

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience with bulk materials handling exposure.
• Experience delivering mining/industrial projects (mining, minerals processing, ports, power generation, heavy industry).
• Strong knowledge of belt conveyors, transfer chutes, storage and reclaim systems, crushers and feeders.

Responsabilités

• Lead the mechanical design of bulk materials handling systems for mining and industrial projects.
• Design and specify conveyors, transfer stations, chutes, bins, silos, hoppers, stackers, reclaimers, feeders, crushers, and related equipment.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, process, and project disciplines; participate in HAZOPs and design reviews.
• Provide engineering support during procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
• Interface with clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders; manage deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
