Are you an experienced Mechanical Designer with a passion for engineering innovation and sustainability? Our client, a leading Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specializing in water treatment solutions, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join their dynamic team.

Our client designs, manufactures, and distributes high-performance water treatment equipment for industrial, municipal, and commercial applications. Their commitment to quality, efficiency, and environmental sustainability has earned them a strong reputation in the sector.

Role Summary

As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for the design and development of water treatment systems and equipment. This includes the creation of detailed 3D CAD models, engineering documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, efficient, and manufacturable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Design water treatment equipment and systems using AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar 3D CAD tools

· Produce detailed engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)

· Collaborate with engineers across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, process) and production teams

· Conduct engineering calculations and performance analysis

· Develop technical documentation, including specifications and manuals

· Maintain proper document management and version control

· Provide input in design reviews and support product development throughout its lifecycle

· Identify and implement improvements to existing designs

· Keep current with trends and technologies in water treatment

· Support testing and prototyping of new equipment designs

· Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, NSF)

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (preferred)

· 35+ years experience in mechanical design (preferably in water treatment or related fields)

· Proficiency in 3D CAD (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred, especially with tube and pipe packages)

· Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, fluid dynamics, and material selection

· Familiarity with water treatment systems (e.g., filtration, reverse osmosis) is a strong advantage

· Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and manufacturing processes

· Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple design projects

Advantageous Skills

· Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)

· Understanding of electrical and control systems integration
