Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a fully remote role. You will lead mechanical design from concept through production, guide a team of engineers, and collaborate with global partners to deliver innovative products.

The role requires deep CAD/CAE expertise (SolidWorks, CATIA), strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, and proven ability to drive projects to launch while maintaining high quality and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA) and CAE tools.
• Proven experience leading design projects from ideation to production launch.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and geometric tolerancing.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, design, and development of complex mechanical components and assemblies.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings with tolerance analyses using CAD software.
• Perform advanced engineering calculations (stress, thermal, dynamic analyses).
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to optimize for DFM and DFC.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical direction and best practices.
