Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will lead concept-to-production mechanical system designs, perform detailed analyses, and generate 3D models and 2D drawings.

The role requires independent, proactive work and collaboration with cross-functional teams across global clients. Ideal candidates have 5-7 years of progressive mechanical design experience, expertise in CAD/FEA tools, and a strong material/manufacturing background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) and PDM/PLM systems.
• Strong understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) principles and experience with simulation software (ANSYS, COMSOL).
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, additive manufacturing).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
• Portfolio of design projects is highly recommended.
• Must be authorized to work in the specified region or capable of remote work within it.
• Adaptability to evolving project scopes and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
