Job description

This position is site specific for the duration of the project.

Education and experience :

• National diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• National diploma in Civil Engineering with Pr. Techni Registration and at least 2 years relevant experience after registration

Registration :

• Pr. Techni registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) or any other body recognized by ECSA, such as Washington Accord, Dublin Accord, Sydney Accord.
• Experience with COTO (COLTO)

Responsibilities :

• Quality control and maintenance of test request books
• Monitoring and visual inspections of the works and construction activities
• Monitoring and assessment of material, borrow pit, and quarry utilization
• Coordinate testing activities between the Contractor and the Site Laboratory
• Assessment of laboratory test results and reporting
• Graphic preparation and interpretation of all test results where required
• Mix design and Trial Section evaluation and reporting
• Preparing, compiling, and submitting Monthly Materials reports
• Monthly audits
• Formalize materials As-Built data and submit the final (approved) report in accordance with client requirements
