Job description

This position is site spesific for the duration of the project.

The following :

Education and experience :

• National diploma in Civil Engineering and minimum 5 years relevant experience
• National diploma in Civil Engineering with Pr. Techni Registration and minimum 2 years relevant experience after registration

Registration :

• Pr. Techni –with the Engineering Council of SA (ECSA) or any other body recognized by ECSA, i.e. Washington Accord, Dublin Accord, Sydney Accord.
• Experience with COTO (COLTO)

will enable you to do the following duties :

• Quality control and maintenance of test request books;
• Monitoring and visual inspections of the Works and construction activities;
• Monitoring and assess material, borrow pit and quarry utilisation;
• Coordinate testing activities between the Contractor and the Site Laboratory;
• Assessment of laboratory test results and reporting;
• Graphic preparation and interpretation of all test results where required;
• Mix design and Trial Section evaluation and reporting;
• Preparing, compiling and submission of Monthly Materials reports;
• Monthly audit;
• Formalise materials As-Built data and submit final (approved) report in accordance with Client requirements;
• Maintenance of daily site diary;
• Any other reasonable request.
