Job summary

Cargill is seeking a Material Requirements Planner (18 Months Contract) for an on-site role based in Pietermaritzburg. The position involves planning and scheduling raw materials to support production and working with purchasing, warehouse and production teams to maintain target inventory levels.

Responsibilities include setting metrics targets, publishing plans, and maintaining data related to sourcing, replenishment, and supplier calendars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in setting material requirements planning metrics targets.
• Create and publish a material requirements plan based on the published master supply plan.
• Provide necessary input to master planner for assigned product or location.
• Maintain data relevant to material requirements planning activities including sourcing and replenishment, supplier, planning calendar, material and location data.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned
