Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or Urban Planning.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in architectural practice with focus on master planning and urban design.
• Proven ability to lead complex, large-scale master planning projects.
• Expertise in CAD, BIM (Revit), and GIS.
• Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience working within the Gauteng development context desirable.
• Registered Architect with SACAP or equivalent professional body.
• Compelling portfolio of master planning and urban design work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the master planning and conceptual design phases for major projects.
• Develop comprehensive master plans integrating architectural, urban, social, and environmental factors.
• Manage design teams with creative direction and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with clients, government authorities, and other consultants to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare high-quality design documentation, including master plan reports, diagrams, and visualizations.
• Conduct site analyses, feasibility studies, and strategic design research.
• Ensure compliance with planning regulations, design guidelines, and sustainability principles.
• Present design concepts and master plans to stakeholders at various levels.
• Mentor and develop junior design staff within the master planning discipline.
• Stay abreast of global trends in urban design, master planning, and sustainable development.
