We are looking for a results-driven Senior Marketing Operations Executive to optimize B2B promotional campaigns within the dynamic events industry. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering effective marketing programs that drive attendance, engagement, and revenue growth across our portfolio of events.

This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems with process and technology, and is passionate about delivering measurable results.

This role the opportunity to influence marketing campaigns, customer segmentation, product development and processes related to business decisions. You will play a key role in shaping and refining campaign workflows, automations and processes to enhance engagement and conversion across our Energy division. As a champion of data, working closely with the Head of Platform Operations and those within the Marketing Operations team, plus our Head of Marketing Communications, you will be instrumental in implementing best-in-class marketing automation strategies that drive efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support campaign operations by executing, maintaining and reporting on marketing automation workflows
  • Enhance and streamline campaign processes to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency through automation.
  • Utilise our marketing tools to drive lead qualification, audience engagement, and conversion.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support lead management strategies, ensuring quality leads are effectively nurtured and handed off.
  • Report on campaign effectiveness using key reach, engagement, and conversion metrics to help identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist with CRO strategies to improve website and landing page performance through A/B testing and optimisation.
  • Own and maintain marketing asset organisation, including tagging, naming conventions, and database structure to support efficient data segmentation and personalisation.
  • Work with central data teams to run complex queries and segmentation strategies, ensuring highly targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure legal compliance with data privacy regulations, including GDPR and PECR, and partner with central data teams on data hygiene initiatives.
  • Work closely with Group Marketing Operations to align on best practices, new technologies and cross sector benchmarking
  • Own and manage the website, registration platform and event app for one of our events with support from the Head of Marketing Operations, and aid in best practices and set-up with our suppliers and solution providers

Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience in a marketing role, preferably in marketing operations or campaign operations, with a strong focus on automation, CRM, and process optimisation.
  • Strong experience in areas including database management, insight development, audience segmentation and data enrichment
  • Experience developing implementation roadmaps and processes around new technology
  • Experience in operational benchmarking and metrics including acquisition rates, conversion rates, database growth, lead nurture, engagement, MQL/SQL
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and PECR
  • Ideally some experience of working with and generating insights from data visualisation platforms (Salesforce Einstein and Power BI ideal)
  • Proficient in bringing together a wide mix of source data through the journey into insight
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable marketing processes.
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (Hubspot, Pardot & Salesforce highly desirable).
